Frequently Asked Questions
We do full & partial home renovations, additions, new construction and commercial build-outs.
Our projects vary in size and scale, from a small kitchen renovation/minor reconfiguration to a full house addition/gut renovation.
Our Projects
We work with young families to empty-nesters and everything in between, creatives and professionals alike.
We work with clients who typically have a property over $1m and are looking to invest $200K+ in their project.
Each home has a unique set of challenges, but we look to offer modern-day solutions to our clients that are rooted in our shared collective experiences. Many of our clients are ex-city dwellers looking for the cool-factor in the suburbs. We bring that.
Great question! If your project requires modifications to the existing layout (i.e. moving walls) and/or permit drawings are required, or if you’re doing any new construction, an architect is necessary. If you’re not moving anything around, and just replacing finishes, an interior designer is a great place to start.
While some of our clients have used architects in the past, most have not. We strive to make the process feel fun and exciting throughout our architectural process. Each client receives access to a dedicated portal with the project deliverables & visuals, and access to our team for questions to ensure they know what’s going every step of the way.
Architects design the exterior and interior structure of buildings for new construction, additions, and renovations, ensuring functionality, safety, and aesthetics. They work closely with engineers and the construction team to ensure the project is built as designed and complies with all applicable building codes.
Interior Designers focus exclusively on the interior environment. Their work typically includes mood and color palettes, furniture, lighting, materials, and other interior selections. They often become involved after the architectural framework is established.
At Graff Guild, we integrate both architecture and interior design to create a cohesive, fully unified experience—ensuring that the project layout and design are thoughtfully connected from the very beginning.
We offer a complementary intro call to see if your project is something we can assist you with. Sometimes timing, scale, and budget don’t align. When that happens, if we are able, we are happy to refer you to someone better suited for your needs.
Our clients and their needs
We are small, but mighty, and work across architecture + interior design to offer turn-key in-house solutions. We create beautiful renderings and drawings to clearly communicate our designs with contractors, and get our projects built.
Yes! We understand that different projects and different people have unique needs. We have created 3 packages to meet our clients where they are at.

An architect is capable of bringing everything together in one place. A full set of drawings is paramount to timelines and budgets, and an investment well worth its weight. Wouldn’t you like one set of drawings that coordinates all construction & finish details across the trades?
Our distinguishing difference
Every inquiry starts with a request to complete a preliminary questionnaire, and a complimentary 15-minute call.
We understand that you are busy and are happy to meet in multiple ways based on where you are in your project, your needs and constraints. Our office is located in historic downtown South Orange.
No. Our business is conducted during normal business hours to align with contractor, trade, and vendor availability.
In our experience delayed timelines, with starts and stops, can kill project momentum. We do our best to accommodate everyone’s preferred construction schedule, but for optimal results we try to adhere to the timeline in the proposal to complete the design and drawings.
Our onboarding process typically takes 3-6 weeks. New clients are added to the calendar after the proposal is signed, and the deposit has been paid. Due to the high-touch nature of our work we take on limited projects at a time. If we are at capacity, we’ll notify you with the anticipated start date during the onboarding process.
On a case-by-case basis we can offer expedited turn around, however a rush fee is applied.
Our process
Each project is unique, however we have created 3 different packages to accommodate our clients needs and budgets.
We totally get it! Creating your dream project is undoubtedly a significant financial investment and only you know when the time is right for you and your home. When you are ready, we will be there to make your vision a reality.
